Once, there was a forest growing on a high plateau. Then suddenly the ground on one side gave way, turning the once-flat plain into a slope. What trees didn't topple in the abrupt collapse continued to grow while stubbornly clinging to the hillside, producing a bizarre woods of strangely-angled trunks.
